As a husband and father, one of the reasons I chose to get serious about the markets was to have more time with my family. I have owned real estate and businesses and worked hard to see them grow. It was my parents that taught me to work hard and they lived by example. They were school teachers (which is why I love to teach) but they also worked second jobs (waitress, coach, tutor, driving instructor.) This showed me that if I don't learn how to have my money make money for me, I would always have to work for my money. This is what the markets have done for me. Which is why I always tell my students;
I don't live to trade, I trade to live.
I love the freedom the markets have given me and I'm usually spending it with my family, at their sporting events, school events or, when we can, getting away on vacation.
