As a husband and father, one of the biggest reasons I chose to take the markets seriously was simple — I wanted more time with my family.
I've owned real estate, built businesses, and worked hard to help them grow. That drive came from my parents, who led by example. They were both public school teachers — which is why I have such a deep love for teaching — but they also worked second jobs as a waitress, coach, tutor, and driving instructor.
Watching them taught me an important lesson: if I didn't learn how to make my money work for me, I'd always be working for my money.
That's what trading has given me — the ability to create freedom, not just income.
